LHV as one approach for more efficiency in high-cube transportation
Problem:
- Reduction of greenhouse-gas-emissions and rising fuel-costs require massive improvements in transport based fuel consumption
- Classic “one-for-all” truck/trailer combination offer poor efficiency, especially in high volume/low weight transport goods
Goals:
- Development of a highly efficient truck-concept for lightweight goods
- Display of a scaled model-truck at IAA NFZ 2016
Approach:
- Development of a comprehensive Truck-Concept Tool to deduce most efficient concept for a given transportation task
